THE WORTHAM BOOKS

1. You portray the historical period of the Great Depression so vividly. Why did you choose to write a story about this time period?

   Good question! Thanks for asking! While writing these stories, I certainly became attached to the Wortham characters, but even I couldn’t have imagined that my fans would be as devoted to these characters as I am. The first three Wortham books were published one-by-one, but when my publisher and I saw how attracted you all were to the continuing Wortham series, we decided on a long range publishing plan and a three-book-series was the result. That three-book series became The Country Road Chronicles, the second Wortham series.
